Throughout grade school and high school I have rearranged parts for band teachers. In 2016, I graduated from Valor Christian College with a degree in Music while directing the youth band of a 4,000 member church. I then began my studies at Berklee College of Music where I learned enhanced theory. Upon finishing that I will be obtaining my Master’s in Music as well as a second Bachelors in counseling where I have learned an array of communication and teaching skills for implementing core values. His other concert works include Baritone Soloist in Brahms' Requiem, Elijah in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Bass Soloist in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, and Handel’s Messiah. I have also performed the bass solo in Verdi’s Requiem. I am also a devoted lieder singer having performed Schubert’s Winterreise, Schumann’s Dichterliebe and Brahms’ Vier ernste Gesänge. I have a vibrant personality and I love teaching, especially when it comes to helping students grasp things where traditional teaching methods have proved to be intimidating or unaccommodating. I have performed in a variety of ensembles and have produced multiple volumes of my own compositions. My musical background is rooted in jazz, funk, soul, and latin music, and my teaching method will tend to emphasize "grooves," with a special eye toward harmony, syncopation, comping, and improvisation.
