Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It is so important that each individual student progresses at his or her own ace. I encourage this progress by setting realistic and clear goals for my students at each lesson. When I acknowledge their accomplishments, it helps to fuel the desire to learn of the student and makes them eager to learn more. I have been teaching private lessons for about 15 years, as well as camps and workshops. I have served as a clinician and instructor at Drumline camps and with Orchestra. I created the Percussive Arts Institute of Ruston to bring music education to an underserved community and taught around 100 students in an after-school program. Teaching provides me with an opportunity to share my love of music with those who want to learn to become better vocalists. I'm classically trained, but I grew up singing Gospel and listening to R&B and Pop music. I love being on stage, and have experience performing in Opera, Musicals, as wells as solo performances.
