Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Every student follows the reoccurring desire to make music for as long as it takes them before they actually begin to find their own musical voice. Adults are easier because they have a greater understanding of responsibilty and self control, however children learn these skills over time with propper guidance, and learning how to learn is a big part of my students' training. Working within the Suzuki method, I start each student out with working on posture, technique, and the fundamentals of the violin before moving on to reading/playing. It is crucial to develop good technique/posture before moving on to reading! Once this is established, it is pretty smooth sailing from there. And with the Suzuki books, it is developed well to do in this order. As I mentioned earlier, I really love to involve the parents in the lessons if appropriate/applicable. Read More
