I love transfering my love of music to students. I help them achieve their goals at a challenging, yet doable pace. When parts of the music are too difficult, I always break them down into their simplest possible parts. I began teaching privately in 2006 after I graduated from college. I began teaching in my church in New York, to beginner students between the ages of 8 and 15. I continued teaching until 2010, when I began my Master's Degree. I found that by finding out similar interests between myself and the students outside of classical music made it enjoyable for them. For beginning students who are children, I start with Essential Method Book for Strings. Once the students has progressed more, I use Suzuki Method books, and also, choose (introduce) solo pieces for recital performance. For adults, I find out what the student is interested in and find the book that fits their interest (and guide my instruction accordingly to engage them).
