For all beginner students, I begin with the Essential Elements books. Once fingering and bowing have been introduced, I begin incorporating level-appropriate scales. These etudes and scales are vital for learning the technique necessary for more advanced pieces. I have been teaching since 2008 and have felt very blessed to see students develop a love for their instrument and music. I began as a junior instructor with a group of teachers who taught different instruments, where students had the opportunity to play in a band setting. On top of violin pedagogy, I was also employed by the University of North Texas Learning Center as a Supplemental Instructor for Music Theory.
