I incorporate music that you want to play such as pop, classical, or music from various cultures while still going over the fundamentals of their instrument. I started saxophone when I was in 6th grade, but I would say my musical journey truly began when I reached high school. I found a teacher in my hometown of York Pennsylvania who's values perfectly aligned with mine. I started teaching private students during my undergraduate years.  During these years many of the students were beginners who were starting in beginning band.  Shortly after my undergraduate studies I taught music in the classroom for the next 15 years.  My classroom experience range from grades pre k- collegiate.  I've taught courses in general music, various theory and composition courses, instrumental band and orchestra.  I've also taught brass methods courses for educators in their preparation for teaching instrumental music.
