I'm a professional trombonist, specializing in the fields of orchestral classical music, and also avant garde contemporary music, and improvised creative music. I was the first trombonist to graduate with a BM from the Colburn School, an intensely rigorous, professional level orchestra, and conservatory, I had the opportunity to work with the Ensemble Modern one of the premier European new music ensembles, and Frank Zappa's self proclaimed "last band".  In 2014, I graduated from the California Institute of the Arts,  where I studied composition, experimental music, and improvisation, and focused primarily on developing my own style of live electronics and improvisation via the trombone. I have spent the past three years living in Miami where I completed my Masters Degree in music education. During this time I was an active trumpet player in south Florida playing with orchestras, brass bands, jazz groups, and quite regularly latin bands due to the popularity of salsa/latin styles in that region. I have been teaching private lessons at Northside Christian School for almost 2 full years at this point, and have been helping out during marching band season every year since 2017. During the first part of 2021, I have also substituted for jazz instructor during the school year of Tarpon Springs High School, and while there I have taught more students on jazz improvisation as well as fundamentals on the trombone.
