I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BM in Music Performance in 2016, and then from the Aaron Copland School of Music with an MM in Performance. I always have the student start by developing a practice routine consisting of long tones, flexibility exercises, scales and the different tonguing attacks; single, double, legato and staccato. Next perhaps finding out what their interest are so we can pick out the appropriate materials.
