I start every student off the with basics, no matter what age. Fundamentals are a crucial skill that have to be correct if you plan to play great. We will work simple scales, articulations, and etudes to make sure the student is understanding the correct way to play which will lead to learning harder concepts easier and quicker. My teaching experience started in 2016, when I founded my private teaching business, "Brenden N. Music". I taught private trumpet lessons, as well as student teaching in an AP Music Theory class. In 2017, I continued to teach privately, as well as working for the Oklahoma State University Youth Orchestra, acting as an extra set of ears and running wind sectionals. I most recently taught as a Brass Instructor at the Salvation Army Youth Education Town in Arlington, TX, where I worked with around 180 kids, ages 7-12, and directed three brass bands of varying skill.
