I'm a freelance trumpeter and teacher who loves music and people. I have degrees in Music Education and Brass Performance. I love multiple genres of music and perform professionally formerly in the Seattle area but now in Tulsa, OK. In addition to classical music and jazz, I also like performing with chamber groups, new music groups, rock groups, and fusion groups. As far back as I can remember I've always had a fascination with musical instruments and a deep desire to make music. I have attended a few private music schools in Los Angeles, CA in 1994 and in 1996 which allowed me to hone in my skills. I participate actively in praise and worship teams to the day since 1992. My teaching style is to motivate students through fun while building a passion for music. I set expectations for each student and make sure they are a better musician today than they were yesterday. I enjoy finding new and exciting methods to teach any student. Nothing is more rewarding to me than helping a student get that important audition, scholarship, or honor. I'm a mellifluous performer and passionate music educator. I completed my graduate degree in Trombone Performance at the University of Denver - Lamont School of Music in 2017 and his undergraduate degree in Music Education at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith in Spring 2015. I was privileged to receive private lessons from guest artists at UAFS: Andy Martin and John Fedchock.
