I began teaching beginner players dating back to high school and continued teaching in college part time. I have taught a diverse age range of students, strongly focusing on musicality, phrasing, and intuition of music. I heavily focus on eliminating bad habits early while engaging in flexible teaching styles. I have over 8 years of experience as a violin freelancer, mostly in weddings. Students contact me for auditions, anything from All-State, college audition prep, summer camp intensives, you name it. Learning that each student has their own pace at learning an instrument is also very important on both sides tof the teacher and student, so using whatever to help a student grasp how to play is key.
