Music is my life, and I love to share my passion with others! I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1997, majoring in Music Production and Engineering and Voice. I have been producing music, and I have been teaching voice and piano off and on for 25 years. I am a singer songwriter, and I play with my band "Dream Jeannie". Some of my other paid jobs include producing cultural music, singing back-up vocals for a local artist, and teaching for Tacoma Public Schools, Tacoma Musical Playhouse, The City of University Place, and Taylor Robinson Music. My teaching style heavily emphasizes repetition; I prefer students to work repeatedly on musical phrases and voice concepts to create consistency and make once difficult feats easy. This assures that the student is able to use lessons learned in future situations, and helps them to realize their ability to accomplish goals and challenge themselves toward maximal progress. I started piano lessons in elementary school before discovering a passion for the guitar. Now, having earned a Music Theory degree from the prestigious Whitman College in Walla Walla, I celebrate my love of music through teaching as well as playing in the Spokane local group Mama Llama. With theory knowledge and years of practice in guitar, piano, voice, and bass, I landed roles in local Walla Walla opera productions and musicals and received the Campbell Music Scholarship before entering post-secondary education.
