Each student is their own personality and I enjoy seeing how the music making unfolds with them in the process of learning. Each student gets their own unique weekly practice program based on their age and level. I am encouraging and patient teacher. I also see to it that my students get to their own goals by time. As a music educator, I vow to share my passion for music with others. I want others to see what I see: Music is Bliss. I plan to use music as a means of providing a creative outlet, instilling virtues, and to ultimately create commonality and unity through this beautiful universal language they call music. Because music gave me a second shot at life, I feel inclined to live my life as a music missionary, if you will, and am deeply devoted to ensuring personal growth, artistic gratification, and musical excellence in all of my students. Ben Gardner initially wanted to play the cello, but instead chose the violin to make the walk to school easier. He quickly fell in love with the instrument, and 16 years later he holds 2 degrees in Violin Performance and has appeared as a soloist and ensemble member across the Western United States in both Classical ensembles and in orchestras specializing in Historical Performance Practice, playing on historically authentic instruments. Ever since a child, I've loved learning, music and sharing my passions! Through grade school I grew into the role of a leader and a musical/visual artist. In 2018 I graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors in K-12 Music Education with a minor in Spanish. My years of teaching grade school has reaffirmed my passion for teaching, and drive to be the best teacher I can. In 2009, I graduated from the University of Missouri with a masters degree in music composition and a focus on music theory pedagogy. I teach piano, violin, and viola. I have conducted youth and adult choirs and a youth orchestras for over a decade. I love teaching private lessons. It allows me to tailor exercises, methods, and pieces of music to each student.
