I'm a classically trained violinist, with a Cajun Louisiana fiddling background. In the third grade, I began playing violin for orchestras in New Orleans, Louisiana and later had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the New Orleans Creative Center for the Arts. I love being able to send students on their way for the day knowing that they put their best foot forward. Even if they did not come to a lesson prepared, being able to see growth in the small amount of time I'm with them is enough for me. I am also a conductor. My minor concentration for my doctorate was Instrumental Conducting, and studied with David E. Becker. I have been a guest conductor with several high school and middle school string orchestras, been a substitute conductor for university/community orchestras, and organized two benefit chamber orchestra concerts in Las Vegas, in 2012 and 2013.
