Hello all, my name is Adam L and I am a first-year Accounting major at Georgia Southern University. I have been a flute player for the past 7 years, having played it since my 6th grade year in middle school. I strive to provide the best learning experience possible for students and have a firm belief that music is helpful for any and all people. My goal for every student is to experience learning their instruments in an environment that is both encouraging and rewarding. I exhibit patience with the student knowing what it takes to develop new skills and I work hard in helping each student feel at ease in expressing themselves. I have used many different materials over the years, depending on the individual student's needs and desires to play their music. My teaching experience goes back to my high school days, where I began to teach private lessons part time ten years ago. Since then, I have been consistently been teaching students in private studios. I encourage regular practice on a consistent schedule and motivate my students on a daily basis. Nicholas Handahl, Brother Vincent Bache and Mr. Albert Sean Hird of Jamaica Military Band. During his time at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Jones served as a coach for flute ensembles, taught supplementary flute lessons for undergraduate students, worked as the orchestra manager and librarian and also worked with professors as a teaching assistant. He has performed with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, Alcorn State University’s Concert Band, Marching Band, Choir and Jazz Ensemble, The National Historic Black Colleges and University’s ALL STAR Wind Symphony, Jamaica Symphony orchestra, The Young Jamaica Ensemble, and has made several guest appearances at the Natchez Music and Arts league in Mississippi performing solo and collaborative works. I am a proud graduate of Central State University where I earned my B.M. in Jazz Studies. I've performed professionally on both Clarinet and Piano. Growing up in the Metro Detroit area, music was everywhere and it gave me a community and the opportunity to cultivate my love of music.
