I am a driven teaching artist that enjoys teaching music as an art to students of all ages. With my experiences, I apply many styles to my line of teaching to ensure each student reaches his/her potential in a postively progressing way. I graduated from Frostburg State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Business and Arts Management, along with studies in Music Education in order to receive my Teaching Certificate. I've been playing piano since age 7. I started playing with a promise to my parents, they would never have to tell me to practice in turn they brought a piano for. I still have and practice on. I have taken lessons up until College, where I graduated from Bennett College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. I play on a regular basis at the Greater First Baptist Church of Washington DC. Read More

If I find a particular pedagogy isn't working well for the student, we can change course and find something that works better for them. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Trumpet

I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs.. Read More
