I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UW-Milwaukee and studied music at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. I have performed with many national acts throughout the US and Europe and also have collaborated with many artists as both a co songwriter, performer, producer and mastering engineer. For young, beginning students, I usually work from the Hal Leanard's Essential Elements mixed with separate, individualized exercises, usually intended for regular practice warm-ups. For students that have grasped the fundamentals, we will explore solo repertoire and etudes that are not only appropriate for their skill level but also interesting and fun to play. I started teaching music as soon as I got involved with playing and performing with other musicians. I payed great detail to how others taught me as I found it to be useful to not only learn how to play music, but to teach myself to play music through observing how others taught me.
