Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I worked for Eddie Van Halen for five years in the 1990's in the Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles, and was instrumental in providing help with development of the Peavey Wolfgang and Wolfgang Special Guitar by providing feedback on the prototypes Eddie was designing at the time. It is important that every student learns and improves at their own pace because everyone learns differently. So I break down songs and theory in to increments so that they can be more easily digested over time. I find that this method of learning is extremely helpful in the retention of the knowledge the student learns. Also not all students are interested in learning the same things so I think it is very important to find out what the student wants to learn and gain from playing music and what their expectations for themselves are. Some of the methods and resources I draw from include the Suzuki Method, Effortless Mastery, and the philosophy of Music As A Language. Music is a language and I aim to teach it like one to the best of my ability. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games and spending time with family. I have performed with various professional groups through out the years. A regular with the Orchestra of Northern NY and Northern Symphonic Winds as well as had the honor of performing with the U.S. Airforce Band. I studied under Catherine Meunier and James Petercsak.
