I started teaching production to middle school students first, using my laptop, audio interface, and midi keyboard. What surprised me the most was that the students wanted to play the keyboard more than record their voices, so with that being the case, my journey as a piano teacher began. I like to show videos of high level playing and introduce a wide variety of genres and styles while I find exactly what it is that inspires the student to play.
