Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginning students we work on the fundamentals of musics such as music theory, rhythmic notation, and techniques. Once the student has comprehend the fundamentals of music then I will introduce solo repertoire appropriate in preparation for a recital performance. Even though all students require different needs, I will usually start my lessons by warming up the voice with different exercises. After that, I will work on repertoire with the student. My favorite book for beginning singers is the 24 Italian Songs Arias. A lot of good habits and technique can be learned through repertoire.
