I have been teaching trumpet since 2008 where I have been giving private, in home instruction. All of my students take part in the NYSSMA festival and annually score at the top of their class. Some students have made it into the SCMEA, NYSCAME, and All-State Festivals. I am a trained classical trumpeter and I am proficient on the Bb, C, Eb, A piccolo, G Bugle, and Flugelhorn trumpets. I work with my students to develop a strong technical foundation on their instrument, from which we can explore harmony, rhythmic training, ear training and theory. I currently teach at a Charter School in Newark, NJ. I have taught private saxophone and trumpet lessons since I was in high school. Practicing on a regular schedule is the best way for young students to improve, as well as older students to continue to perfect their technique.
