I have also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Harvard Music Department. While I originally come from classical training and have the ability to deal with classical repertoire, I think there is much to be gained from trying to find and learn about the music that students love and connect to, be it Chopin, the Beatles, movie soundtracks, or Sara Bareilles. I have studied at Oberlin Conservatory and Rutgers State University and studied with some of the best teachers. I studied jazz trumpet for my bachelor's and Masters degrees. I moved to NYC in 2009 and have performed with artists such as Roy Hargrove, Kim Burrell, Geri Allen and Wallace Toney. I taught at the community outreach program at Rutgers State University and have been a teacher with Musika for 10 years.
