My teaching experience dates back to when I was in high school, when I began teaching beginning students of all instruments 10 years ago. I have been consistently teaching students in their homes, my home, and online for the past 5 years. What does happen often is that as a student absorbs the approach, it affects their life to some extent they naturally start slowing down and appreciating details in their lives too; they relax and become more aware of whats around them because their minds have been trained somewhat through practicing music that way. I hold various Principal 'cello positions, co-founded the Polish Music Reference Center at USC with Wanda Wilk, in the 1980's; co-founded Symphony 47 with Floyd Clark and had my New American Quartet for over 18 years, which also toured England, in 1997. I performed many overseas concerts; was Yo Yo Ma's pre-concert lecturer at the Wadsworth in 1994; coached Samuel L. Jackson for his movie role as a 'cello playing cop in 2000, and performed with Herbie Hancock in a World Peace concert in 2008, with my quartet. Read More

I usually start my piano and vocal students with playing and singing both major and minor scales while using proper fingering and while breathing properly on this musical journey. On the other hand once a student shows and develops better fundamentail skills, then I'll start introducing intermediate musical concepts and ideals. I am very flexible with my teaching methods and put together the best style matching the student's learning strengths. Furthermore, I update and change my methods if I feel the current method is becoming ineffective.
