As a student, I attended the Jamey Aebersold summer jazz workshops, and was subsequently trained by Mr. Aebersold on how to specifically teach jazz improvisation. I became a teacher at his workshops and have since taught at many others. The student has to develop in their own phase. My primary role is to inspire and motivate to student, to set goals for them selves, and help them to reach their desired goals. But most importantly having fun with music, each student has an individual way of learning, my goal is to find what inspire them and go deeper into that. I create an environment where the student can feel as if they can ask any question and can make mistakes without being looked down on.  I encourage the student to problem solve their own issues through critical thinking. My goal is to teach you so you don't need to be taught anymore. We will work on a given concept continuously until it is understood and able to be produced.
