Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am extremely passionate about the voice and love teaching music to students of all ages! I've been a music teacher for 6+ years and taught at a K-8 school. Additionally, I have 10 years of experience teaching lessons. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration on classical voice and composition. I teach most styles of singing- including classical, opera, musical theatre, pop, rock, country, and jazz. I love seeing people have a good time playing their instrument. I want to see students build their confidence from the very start of their musical journey. If playing is not fun from the very beginning I don't seen the point in playing. I like setting small goals in every lesson so that the student reaches new levels with every session without even realizing how far they have come. The beginning of my more formal teaching started in High School when a friend and I began a Guitar Club as an after-school program for all levels of guitarists to join. It was a mentoring, preforming, and learning group where we practiced covers of songs and traded technique. As a senior at the University of Tennessee, I've begun informally teaching friends with a passion to learn guitar.
