My methods include a interview process where I get to know the student's goals and desires. Sometimes this includes learning a certain piece of music or style of music or interest to jam with friends as a hobby. When I can get a sense of their goals it helps me design a course fit for your student's learning interest. We begin with a theory review of basics and then follow a ear training test to see if the student can identify changing pitches and rhythm tests. Read More

My teaching experience dates back about 20 years. Since then, I’ve taught many levels and many instruments. I’ve taught students ranging from 18 months to 81 years old. I’ve taught many styles;including jazz, pop, and rock. I’ve had students to make videos and win several competitions. My favorite genre to teach is classical. With classical, you can pull all of the other genres out of it. When you learn classical first, everything else seems to fall into place. Read More
