My plan of attack is to learn the guitar from every angle and allow all the information to fuse together for my students. I keep my lessons fun and upbeat, but with a focus. For beginning students (under the age of 10), I will typically start with Alfred's Basic Guitar Method. This method, and other methods similar to this are great for teaching young students the fundamentals of music and provide insight on proper playing technique; but do so without becoming too overly technical.
