I am an enthusiastic instructor who enjoys helping students gain confidence and enjoyment with music. In 2010, I received my masters degrees from Eastern Michigan University in Classical Guitar Performance. Since 2000, I have played well over 1000 concerts in pop rock band The Outer Vibe as a writer and guitarist. My touring experience has given me the opportunity to play all across the United States. I have used many different methods over the years and will supplement any method book to meet the individual needs of the student. My preferred method for young students is the FJH Harris Young Beginner's Guitar Method series. For older students I tend to use either Mel Bay or Hal Leonard methods to teach the fundamentals and then add onto them with whatever suits the student best. For advanced students I prefer the William Leavitt methods from Berklee University Press, which will be a challenge for anyone! Read More

I love teaching Voice and have a particular affinity for meeting the needs of the student. Every voice is unique, and should be treated as such with careful consideration. I instill pedagogical principles for healthy singing in all my students. I help students establish their goals/interests, and we achieve them through fun and engaging warm ups and appropriate repertoire.
