I cater my teaching style to each student's age, skill level and personality. I have a patient, relaxed teaching style but I'm always ready and willing to push the student as far as they want to go, encouraging them to try their best. If a student is just starting out, we go over the parts of the instrument, how to hold and make a sound with the instrument. We start with simple songs that only have a few notes. If a student aspires to become a professional jazz guitarist, I teach them jazz chords, improvisational techniques and necessary reading skills.
