In middle school, I began performing and teaching music during the summers at Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-10. Throughout high school, as a member of a variety of bands, I performed at a wide array of venues around New England. During this time, I ventured into song writing and musical arrangement. I also spent some time giving private trombone, bass, and guitar lessons in high school. Along with teaching music, I have much experience working with students ages 2-18 as a summer camp sports director, youth director at a teen center, and a soccer coach and trainer. Read More

Ive been teaching for over 12 years now and I enjoy it more now than ever. I love meeting new students because with each person comes a unique personality and learning style. I try to teach each student according to their respective proclivities while helping them to overcome their weaknesses as well. I try to create a fun environment to learn in, provide students with what theyre looking for, and also throw in some nice surprises along the way. Read More

The biggest teaching method I have is to be flexible because no two students learn alike. Read More

I implement materials of my own design mixed with songs of the students choosong and tastes, and typically have them up and playing a song or two that they like in a couple of lessons. All ages, styles, and expereince levels are welcome. For reading, I like to use a combination of notation, tabs and chord diagrams. And while I dont absolutely insist that the student learn to read notation, I do strongly encourage it. Read More

My teaching experience began in 2011. A friend of mine had bought a guitar and did not know a single thing about the instrument. he asked me if I could teach him how to play. After a few weeks of methods that I taught him and, exercises he was able to play the guitar without frustration. I always tell my students when they are starting out to give themselves at least 15 minutes a day to keep up on exercises to build up muscle memory. Read More
