Most student's would ideally start with a 5 piece drum kit complete in addition to a high-hat, crash, and ride cymbal, but any student can start with as little as a drum practice pad and a pair of drum sticks. A student can learn to read and play rhythms using both hands using any type of drum, including snare, bongos, conga, or djembe.

We love adult students! We have adults who are complete beginners, some who haven't played their instrument in 10 years, and some who are more advanced students looking to take their skills to the next level. Our teachers have proven methods to ge t you the results you desire.
Our recommended starting age for drums is around 8 for students wishing to play a drum kit. For the snare drum, the youngest recommended age is 5 or 6, as playing can prove tiresome on younger hands. The drum is an instrument that is great for all a ges and skill levels, whether it's a complete beginner at age 5 or an experienced musician who wishes to study rhythm firsthand.
