I am a freelancing violinist here in MA. I got my bachelor's degree in music performance from Boston University. I have played with some excellent orchestras in New England and eastern USA. I'm a member of the AFM local 9~535, and still perform and get gigs with some excellent orchestras.i have a nonprofit organization the Charles River Sinfonietta, that gives mostly chamber music concerts. I emphasize ergonomic/body comfort in playing the cello.  Comfort is most important before being able to progress and reach technical heights.  There is no formula for any single student to make progress.  I work with students to discover their goals on the cello, and to help them expand as instrumentalists, musicians and human beings.   Musically, I focus heavily on music theory which I will explain as necessary.  I place importance on theory because it allows an understanding of musical patterns that can be easily applied on the cello.
