I have a bachelors degree in Theatre Arts Studies from Brigham Young University and a Berklee Music Performance program certificate. I have 5 years of private teaching experience and have also taught vocal workshops and directed musical theater plays. I think it’s so important that students enjoy what they are doing so they have a desire to practice and work hard, so singing doesn’t become a chore. Even though I teach a wide array of musical stiles, every lesson will include the fundamentals and instrumental approach. Posture and Breathing are critical to emphasize every time we pick up our instrument. No matter what we are performing, this always applies and will be addressed as need be.
