I'm a young teacher who loves working with students and instilling my passion of music in them. I have been involved in music since the age of 5, and received my Bachelors of Music Education degree from Western Carolina University in 2018. I started playing the violin at the age of 8 and now I have been playing it for 30 years. I started working with children when I turned 19 and to this day I have never stopped. I studied and worked at the same time, as well as playing in an orchestra, and I developed a strong work ethic. I am currently the Strings instructor at Haywood Community College in Clyde, NC where I offer beginner to advanced classes for violin, viola, and cello. Although I learned to play strings in a classical background, I welcome all musical styles and techniques! I have enjoyed a rich orchestral career, which has taken me across the country to perform with professional orchestras such as the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, the Battle Creek Symphony, the Amarillo Symphony, and many others.
