Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I begin teaching fine arts music in 1990. It was one of two jobs I had at the time. I worked for " Yje School of Gone Arts" in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for a few years. I believe that music should be fun. I think students are more engaged and willing to practice when they are actually enjoying what they are learning, and music is an amazing thing, so it should be engaging! I am a lighthearted and easy going teacher, and I am also experienced in many different areas of music. This allows me to really tailor my lessons to my students needs. As a believer in the "magic" of positive reinforcement, I don't see any other way in encouraging my students to make progress. During a lesson, we first review material that was assigned to practice from the previous lesson. Clear instruction on how to make progress is given, as well as practice goals for the next lesson. I started playing the violin at the age of 8 and now I have been playing it for 30 years. I started working with children when I turned 19 and to this day I have never stopped. I studied and worked at the same time, as well as playing in an orchestra, and I developed a strong work ethic.
