My love for music began at a very early age and I was blessed to realize, very soon, that it was my passion.I began performing at the age of 13 on clarinet, in voice, and on drums and percussion. Most of my early performance experience was obtained in church, school, and in my older brothers' Top 40 band. Throughout his teaching career, Jamie has also participated in many performance and recording projects both as band leader of The Rift, a guest, and a solo artist. During the school year 2016 - 2017 he was a Show Director for the School of Rock - Mamaroneck. For young students in first through sixth grade, I start them with the "Rubank Elementary Method for Trumpet or Cornet." Once the student feels comfortable with the basics out of that book, I will introduce recognizable solo repertoire and the Fundamentals for Brass Book by William BIng, which has a focus on fundamental control of the Trumpet.
