Included in these experiences was Chicagoland regular rotation play on XRT's local music showcase and an interview on the Flabby Hoffman Show. While attending UIC I even dabbled in theatre, and though I I had little to no experiece as an actor, I achieved a lead role in three out of the four productions I was cast in. Of these four, two were rock musicals, including the Who's "Tommy." As you can see, my whole life is music.I love to teach, perform and compose music.Although I love all these elements of music, I would have to say that my greatest joy comes from seeing my students progress towards becoming accomplished musicians.Whatever your goals may be, I take great pride in helping you attain them. From 2015-2020, I had the honor of leading the "STRING-on!" program for Golden Isles Youth Orchestra. It is a one-week class aimed at giving underprivileged and disadvantaged students the opportunity to experience the violin, viola, cello, and bass. Together with two other team members, I taught thousands of 5th-grade students to play the violin, culminating in forming an "orchestra" on Friday, making real music together after just five days! From 2006-2020 I taught the general music classes pre-K to 8th grade at Amelia Island Montessori school, again leading students to play many different instruments together, and exploring different genres and cultures. Guitar: An exploration of a variety of genres with an emphasis on technique and precision. We will master scales, basic chords, and important chord structures. Lessons will include an introduction to sight-reading and music theory as well as playing by ear, soloing, and songwriting. Bass: Lessons will focus on technique and music theory.
