My goal with all students is that they enjoy learning, become self-motivated to practice, and consider their musical abilities as a gift which they can choose to share with others whenever they feel comfortable to do so. I have experience using a variety of method books and can easily recommend appropriate materials. I have taught lessons, throughout college and after, with interests ranging from classical to jazz, rock and pop. Engaging oneself musically every day is a motto of mine, keeping the motions and techniques sharp, as well as the elements of time and immersion that exponentially promote growth and creativity. Each of the many books I have used have been valuable in making me the player that I was. The information that I have gained through studying this material has helped me become the teacher that I am today, and my goal when teaching any student is to pass on what has been given to me throughout my lifetime.
