The primary trumpet method book I use to teach lessons is "Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet" by Jean-Baptiste Arban. Regardless of a student's ability level this book has hundreds of pages of exercises to develop trumpeter skills. The most important thing I develop with beginning students is tone. Once a beautiful sound is developed within a student's repertoire a myriad of other problems go away, and the student learns exponentially faster. Read More

I first find out what songs and styles of music my students are interested in, then determine what methods are best for my students to fulfill their musical goals. Some students have no experience reading music while others may be quite adept. Many of my students have been absolute beginners and it is a great joy to see them develop their skills and their passion!
