I have taught lessons since the beginning of college with all ages and learning types. Teaching has always been a passion of mine so I pursue it whenever I can. I taught lessons at both UAFS and DU during my time earning my degrees. As far back as I can remember I've always had a fascination with musical instruments and a deep desire to make music. I have attended a few private music schools in Los Angeles, CA in 1994 and in 1996 which allowed me to hone in my skills. I participate actively in praise and worship teams to the day since 1992. My teaching style is strongly centered around the idea that music is more than an activity, it is a way to communicate life skills from a teacher to a student. The ideas of practicing and performing teach students what it means to be organized, skilled, and hard working. I think that it is important for students to set their own goals, achieve them, and be praised for their success. I love multiple genres of music and perform professionally formerly in the Seattle area but now in Tulsa, OK. In addition to classical music and jazz, I also like performing with chamber groups, new music groups, rock groups, and fusion groups.
