My goal is for my students to love music and enjoy the process of learning and growing and reaching their personal goals as a musician. Whether that's just playing for fun or preparing them for a recital or coffee shop gig or professional studio recording experience or preparing their part for the musical group that they participate in; I have helped my students with all these things. Music has been a passion of mine my entire life. I started piano at the age of 4, flute at the age of 10, and sang throughout. I have enjoyed performing in many venues from coffee shops to churches to big music halls; functions from weddings and funerals to special dinners; and just for fun with family and friends. My undergraduate degree from Wheaton College is a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Psychology, and my Masters is in Music Education. Read More

I am a current student at Ball State University studying to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Instrumental/General Music Education with an add-on in Vocal Education. I am passionate about teaching music and helping others reach their full potential on whatever instruments they want to play. I am versatile and can play on almost every instrument with piano as my primary focus. My teaching follows the books quite a bit, so that the student remembers what was taught when they go home and practice. I like for the student to have a notebook that I can write in supplemental information. I understand that each student learns differently and I am able to differentiate my teaching methods to best fit the student needs. I'm a 2018 graduate of Temple University's Boyer College of Music, where I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies: Saxophone Performance. I play the Saxophone, Clarinet, and Piano, and I'm glad to be teaching students all of these instruments. At Temple, I studied under saxophonists Dick Oatts and Ben Schachter. I lead my own Jazz Quartet, and I've performed with groups including the Philadelphia Funk Authority, Temple Avenue Quintet, Tony Gairo's Crosscurrent Big Band, and the Work In Progress Jazz Orchestra.
