I individualize my teaching methods for each student based on their ability level. After I assess the ability level, I find level-appropriate method books, scale studies, etudes, tone exercises, sight reading, and solo repertoire. I use method books that I am personally familiar with and like, but am open to looking for new, exciting options. Teaching music is my life's passion. I followed that passion to earning a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Evansville in 2011. Since then I have been teaching students of all ages and levels. Since earning my degree I have performed on stages across the country in pit orchestras, bands, choirs, opera performances and as a solo artist on various instruments including the voice. I'm a passionate and creative instructor who loves working with students of all ages and sharing my love of music. I graduated in 2012 from Indiana State University with Bachelor degree in Music Education. My primary instrument is the flute. I've played the flute for 14 years in various ensembles throughout the years. I've had great opportunities to work with children throughout my college years as well as beyond those years.
