I really began teaching when I was in high school and then going into college. During high school I was discovered by different middle school and elementary school music teachers and asked to come teach their students. As I began working at different schools, I was asked to give private lessons. I taught beginner masterclasses, private lessons, and traveled to different schools for about two years. My joy is to see progress and growth in my students. I also enjoy seeing their love of music develop.  I take each student where they are: beginner or advanced, and put goals in place for them.  Such goals can be things like learning music for solo and ensemble band / orchestra competitions, performing in their Church, or putting together a jazz band or classical ensemble for concerts. I believe anyone has the ability to learn music. I feel it is my duty to help my students discover their own musical path. It is my passion to show you, you have the ability to overcome any obstacles you may face in music. On May 1st I graduated from Weber State University with my Bachelors in K-12 Music Education. I got the chance to be instructed by great minds like Viktor Uzur (known worldwide for the Richter/Uzur Duo) and work along side talented students like Fan Ya Lin (pianist with a professorship at Julliard). As a 9th grader, I participated in The Bronx Borough Wide Band and played clarinet on the stage of Carnegie Hall. Later, in college, I sang in a classical chorus on the stage of Kleinhan's in Buffalo, NY with The Buffalo Philharmonic. I studiedbassoon withFrank Ruggieri of The New York Philharmonic as well. In rock, I sang with many bands and some famous artists. Also, played piano in restaurants, etc.One of my bands later performed at The Capital Theatre in Port Chester, New York as an opening act for other famous artists.Very exciting!! Read More

  I enjoy students of all ages and levels of musical experience. My students have done well in the music exams through the Toronto Conservatory system and at local music festivals.   Appreciation of music is an important life skill. The skill formed is as unique as each individual. Using music to tell a story or express emotions develops creativity and empathy. Helping each person discover their musical gift is a fun adventure.
