Instruments: Guitar, Music, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

It wasn't enough for me, though. I wanted to get the best possible music education. So, during my last year of high school, I applied to several music schools in Europe and the US. When Berklee accepted my application, I decided to go for it and moved to Boston. While I attended Berklee, I played in several local bands. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Writing Production. Read More

Instruments: Flute, Recorder, Music

My first teaching experience was teaching group recorder lessons in my home town, since then I have taught all over the world in many different systems. I particularly love working with beginner flutists and helping them to find their voice on the flute and discover the joys of playing. If a student is young I often suggest starting on the recorder in order for them to develop their skills and prepare them for switching to the flute later. Read More

Instruments: Guitar, Music, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

For beginning students I like to go over the fundamental of the instrument as well as the very basics of reading music and music theory. This way we can build a solid foundation on which to build upon as we progress. At the same time I like to find out any particular areas of interest the student has in order to tailor the before mentioned for their style. No matter what skill level I want to maintain a balance of what the student wants to learn as well as the fundamentals of guitar and music theory, this way the experience is all-encompassing musically. Instruments: Piano, Voice, Music

For young piano students I'm a fan of John Thompson method books. I get the student through beginners and then through at least the Grade 1 book. Then I introduce beginner piano literature books to help the student see a real music book. I work on music theory and how to map out a piece of music to learn it better. We start talking about musical style as well. For adults I use basically the same method but usually start with the Alfred all-in-one book. Read More
