My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my school studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the instruments and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

I have the ability to be sensitive to and match the learning pace of any student at any age, regardless of any learning challenges. I very much believe that anyone can learn any craft in music if they're willing to put in the work. Every lesson is engaging, fun, highly informative, inspiring, and musically advancing. Students can learn just about anything they'd want to learn from very innovative angles that are often tailor-made to the individual student's learning ability. Read More

It's easy to talk to fast and rush as a teacher because I've taught so many students. Read More

My teaching experience is primarily in one on one or small group settings. I have taught several students as young as 10 years old. It is my experience that a student's approach to their instrument varies with their age. The more time one spends with an instrument, the more one expects to have a certain sound. I believe it is important to emphasize not comparing oneself to others. This goes hand and hand with my approach to teaching in that it focuses on the individual wants and needs of the student.
