For all of my students, I find out what they are interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly. I typically start with the Piano Adventures series and my own compositions. Once my students understand the fundamentals, I begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first performance or competition. All of my students get a complete musical education by learning theory, performance, and music history. I began assisting teachers during high school for extra credit. It later became my job during Full Sail. I worked extensively with grades K-5 on reading, writing and math skills enrichment. When I graduated I started to see my joy was working with children and helping each individual get to their own "next level" and that is when I began teaching music privately. I encourage my students to enter competitions and recitals of which I help with the prep for and can conduct them there if need be.  Read More

For the advanced students (only voice, saxophone, and theory), we will be learning how to break down pieces by learning music theory. Form and analysis will be at the forefront of your performance as it is essential to gaining a deeper understanding of your pieces.
