I encourage the individual to find what they love about what they're doing to spark growth and personal development. I use real world scenarios and applications for my students to relate and apply their learning through the playing of their instrument. From my pedagogical teachings ive learned that the best approach is a differentiated one. One that is diverse yet unique to the learner and/ or group of learners. I use a linguistic and analytical yet methodological approach to teaching that I find to be VERY Efficient! Read More

Instruments: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Music, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I like to keep the mood lighthearted and fun while I am teaching, so that all students will feel comfortable and play to the best of their abilities. I do, however, believe in the importance of consistent and concentrated practice, and I will always tell a student if I feel that they are not putting enough work into their instrument. Because I know that people have busy schedules, I strive to teach students how to practice efficiently so that they can improve their playing even if they have limited time in the day in which to practice. I believe that the best way to learn music is to find ways to make practicing an instrument a fun and enjoyable endeavor. This framework will enhance a student's understanding of the music they are learning. I love students who are positive, eager to learn, and I like to engage my students with different types of music, solos, and exercises for technique. Read More

Typically when I begin with children I incorporate the Hoffman Method and Books such as the Little Mozarts books, Alfred, Faber and Master Theory. Students get to learn the basics like Mary had a little lamb, hot cross buns, jingle bells, and other fun tunes. Classes are also available for older beginners interested in learning classical or other styles. Read More
