Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I have been singing and playing instruments my entire life, and I am passionate about sharing this skill with others. I graduated from Lee University in May 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music. During my time at Lee University, I have been a part of three ensembles- where I would sing many genres including classical, contemporary, and jazz. My teaching experience began in my teenage years because my brother wanted to learn guitar, my cousins wanted to learn guitar, and my sister wanted help with singing! I've always enjoyed seeing other people get the hang of it. A few years back I taught at a music store in Warner Robins, Ga, where I had around 12 students at a time. My teaching style focuses on encouraging students to be self-driven in exploring the guitar and their own unique style, be that from finding inspiration in artists from their chosen genre or through reaching milestones. I emphasize the importance of enjoying the act of playing guitar and separately setting aside time to engage in focused learning to avoid passion fatigue. The importance of group playing is also very important, where students and myself will collaborate to create original pieces that the student can practice or play for an audience. Read More
