I believe anyone has the ability to learn music. I feel it is my duty to help my students discover their own musical path. It is my passion to show you, you have the ability to overcome any obstacles you may face in music. On May 1st I graduated from Weber State University with my Bachelors in K-12 Music Education. The first half of each of my lessons willaddress the basics of music theory(i.e. rudiments, scales, etc.) and technique. The second half of each lesson is about having fun! We will digdeeper into the musicmy student isinterested in,consideringthe songs from a musician's point of view. I started singing recreationally of my own volition at age 5, coming up with improvised musicals in my parents' living room and filming them with my mom's camcorder. I took advanced choir classes in middle school and high school and was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for several rock bands throughout high school. I started learning guitar in 2006 and started learning piano in 2013. I am primarily a beginner-advanced voice teacher with secondary focus on beginner-intermediate piano and guitar. Read More

I want to make guitar lessons fun, helpful and informative. If the student isn't learning what they want to learn and not having fun while doing it, I'm not doing my job. Getting the student to feel confident, no matter the amount they have played is important to me. I'm a laid-back, happy person and that reflects in the way I teach. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more.
