My lessons are very structured in style and format. Scales, exercises and method books will be the basis of every lesson. With intermittent lessons on musical theory along the way, the student will begin their technical foundation. Regardless of whatever genre of music the student's interests may lie, I provide the technical instruction to make it possible. For students who are beginners, I usually start with the Hal Leonard Essential Elements 2000 books. Not only are they a great source for fingering charts and basic instrument fundamentals, but they also offer great full band exercises in band balance and togetherness as well. Once the beginner student learns more fingerings and is able to read music from the book faster, I will give the student beginner etudes and studies to build their embouchure and fingering skills. Upon graduating from the Univerity of Maryland, I taught elementary band and strings at 3 different public schools in Maryland. In addition, I taught privately in three locations, including a Music Arts Center, instructing beginning through advanced students, both children and adults. I relish finding ways in which students relate most to music and love that everybody is different. I have the most experience with beginning students, who I love to start from scratch in developing good habits with their playing and practicing techniques in a fun and approachable way. Read More

I work very hard, and I enjoy seeing the progress you achieve as we move on with classes. Until now i have raised many talents, that have finished their bachelor's and master's degrees and some of which are globally known musicians. As a flautist I have performed with many orchestras, chamber orchestras, and choirs and held solo recitals and fundraising concerts for local music schools.
