In addition to having performed on thousands of stages around the world over the last 15 years, I have been teaching private lessons in percussion for the last 10 years. I have experience teaching individual and group lessons, in some cases with groups of over 50 students. In addition to lessons which address the practical concerns involved in beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of drums, percussion, & cello, I teach lessons in structuring performances (aimed mostly at bands looking to take their live production to the next level), prepping for studio time, tailoring performances to their setting (studio, venues small & large, workshops), and techniques for learning large volumes of material quickly. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. Since the age of 10 I've had an active life involving music. Growing up in Brasil, I began a band in school. Over the course of a few years we grew in popularity and in 2007 we were nominated best new talent from the south of Brasil. In 2008 I moved from Brasil to the United states and have been playing my drums since! Read More

First of all, I am someone who took formal private lessons for drums and flute from 5th grade all the way through college. I have been at School of Rock for about a year, where I am responsible for many individual as well as group lessons. I have taught a wide variety of ages ranging from 5-23, and I am extremely open to adult lessons. I am a firm believer that it's never too late to learn and that adults are more able to appreciate musical accomplishments. Read More

I have been teaching private lessons for 10 years. Encouraging students to practice regularly and to have fun with their instrument is essential for the learning process. I stress the importance of these two things so that the student may develop a love for music and their instrument of choice. Also, being able to teach a variety of musical styles keeps students wanting to learn. I encourage students to not only learn written pieces, but to create their own music and individual sound. For me, teaching is much more than showing each student everything I know as a musician. My ultimate responsibility as an instructor is to understand the students' goals and recognize how they learn best. While recognizing their musical and technical accomplishments, I encourage the students to maintain patience and discipline as they delve farther into the study of their instrument. The greatest reward for me as a teacher is to inspire my students to want to work hard to develop their own sound, style, and passion for music! Read More
