In them, I teach students about different words one uses to write about music (timbre, tempo, etc). My main goal in my teaching style is to develop the passion for music in students, music helps them to analize and think, create and provide progress in their school activities and classes. I'm trying always to create a friendly atmosphere using an entry point to better explained a musical piece and its characteristics. I also motivate them reproducing videos and recordings of specific music styles, famous clarinet players. Having said that, possibly an even more pressing skill would be to be equppied, physically and intelectually, to play along with an impromtu music session, or "jam." If, say, a former clarinet student of mine should find him or herelf in the company of a strumming acoustic guitarist, it is my hope that they will be condfident and able to contribute musically and sensibly without the need for sheet music.
