Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginning piano students, I typically begin with the Piano Adventures series lesson books, adding integrated theory, composition and musical history with instructional activities. Depending on the student, once they complete the initial book, I begin to incorporate basic improvisation strategies and duet playing to develop their knowledge of theory as well as their aural skills. I come from a long line of musicians, teachers and performers. Teaching music is totally in my blood. I offer a lifetime of experience and success in teaching, performance and ministry. I strive to set realistic goals and encourage my students to set realistic goals for themselves! This gives them an eagerness to learn because it is within their grasp. For example, If someone has a goal to be on american idol one day, I will have him/ her set a smaller goal to get there such as breath support or intonation. I have been teaching vocal music privately for going on 6 years now and in the public school's for 5 years. I graduated from Campbellsville University in 2012 with a bachelors in vocal music education and in 2015 with a masters degree in special education.
