For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For beginning students, who are starting from an early age, I typically combine playtime and learning. For example, for the youngest students, I use the analogy of the seven colors of the rainbow to learn the music notes. Throughout my years of teaching using this technique, I've received a lot of positive feedback from the students that as learning kept them interested and excited about learning the instrument.
