For beginning piano students, I typically begin with the Piano Adventures series lesson books, adding integrated theory, composition and musical history with instructional activities. Depending on the student, once they complete the initial book, I begin to incorporate basic improvisation strategies and duet playing to develop their knowledge of theory as well as their aural skills. I have been teaching vocal music privately for going on 6 years now and in the public school's for 5 years. I graduated from Campbellsville University in 2012 with a bachelors in vocal music education and in 2015 with a masters degree in special education.
