Overview:
I am a skilled, professional singer and teacher. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and years of experience, I am qualified to take students to the next level in their vocal ability. I am married to a music/worship pastor of and am heavily involved in the music ministries of the church, such as Sunday worship and Kids Choir director. I am dedicated to engaging with my students to develop their vocal abilities and to help them attain their musical goals. EXPERIENCE
i have been singing since i was a little girl and began to notice early on how much I loved and enjoyed music! i participated in vocal competitions both in groups and solos and found that I did very well! I went to college to study music and singing and found after taking a pedagogy class that I loved (and was good at!) teaching voice lessons! I began shortly after that teaching lessons on the side and have enjoyed getting to work with a variety of students. I have worked with a wide range of ages, skill levels, and styles, and each unique student brings me joy as I watch them grow musically and vocally! I also have good experience in preparing students for special events, such as competitions, enabling them to do the very best they can! It receive much satisfaction in helping others achieve their vocal goals!
METHODS USED
*** Lesson Details *** To start us off, we'll assess your current skill, experience, and expectations for the lessons. We will work together to create a lesson plan that works for you! In our lessons after that we'll try to work on the things you need and want. Each lesson will start off with warm up exercises and will contain bits of music theory to help you become a well-rounded musician! *** Specialties *** I specialize in helping students improve their tonal sound quality, breathing, and pitch matching capabilities along with many other things that we can accomplish in our times together. My goal is to help students improve their overall music abilities as well to become the best musicians they can be.
LESSON STYLE
I have discovered that no two voices are alike, and, therefore, each student deserves a unique approach when helping them advance their skills. It is my goal to help students recognize their own potential and develop their voice into the best that it can be! Because it takes time to learn some skills and some vocal bad habits are hard to break, I try to encourage my students as often as I can even if the victory seems small! I want my students to feel confident that they are progressing and that their lessons and practices are helping them achieve their vocal goals and dreams!
