Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Voice
Each lesson is designed specifically with the students’ abilities and challenges in mind as well. For young or beginning voice students, I like to begin with a solid foundation of intonation, body alignment, sight reading, and breath support using beginning level folk songs. The repertoire I choose is specific to each student's short-term goal and stylistic preference. For intermediate students, I focus on tone, coloration, vocal agility, diction, musicality, dynamics and performance anxiety. I am a firm believer in support and encouragement from family, and I insist that parents/guardians of high school students and younger stay informed with what their child is working on. Read More

I taylor each lesson to the individual students. But usually I give students the opportunity to find what they love and encourage them to explore that, expanding their understanding as they go. No two students are the same and should be taught the same. Some students require strict traditional methods but most need a playground of music to find their calling. Music is an expression of oneself and therefor as unique as our fingerprints. Read More

Depending on the instrument and skill levels of the student I have different methods. For guitarists I typically like to start by learning techniques and building strength in their fingers before we move into theoretical concepts. For pianists I begin with technique but with also teaching them the musical staff and getting them started with reading music. Ultimately my method depends on the individual needs of the student. The lesson is always aimed at having the most fun as possible, all while learning and expanding our musical knowledge. Read More

I just recently moved back to Colorado from NYC. Up until the day before I moved, I was working as a private music teacher for over 50 different students weekly, in-studio and in-home lessons, ages varying from as young as 2 to adult. Since I've returned, many of those students have continued with me as their teacher via Zoom/Facetime. The pandemic challenged my regular in-home lesson routine, so all of my instruction takes place over FaceTime/Zoom now. Read More

I'm a very passionate and hard working teacher, with a goal to keep the legacy of music passed on. I believe in building relationships with all of my students, as I have learned people only want to learn from people they like. I graduated from West Georgia University with a BA in Guitar performance, and a minor focus on piano and saxophone. I have experience playing classical, jazz, and rock all over the country as well as in Germany for a jazz tour in college. Read More
